Dog Tales !These pictures have been sent to us by some of the people whose dogs we've been able to help. Angel and Lulu, and Rio, some of the many dogs who are being helped, and still are enjoying life. Here is also a picture of Scrumpy, our first "client", nearly two years ago. He was diagnosed with bladder cancer, and on opening him up for an exploratory operation, he was found to have secondaries, so he was closed, and owner was told he was terminal. Scrumpy lived on for 27 months after diagnosis, and died suddenly an older boxer of 11yrs. He had wonderful quality right up till the last day. Katie has had surgery for anal cancer, and is taking Immune support supplements and is enjoying life to the fullest, as can be seen by the smile on her face. Not all dogs have as remarkable a turn around, though many do have remissions, eg. Tissia, whose lymphoma went into remission, and Snow who was due to be put down, and nine months on is a happy dog. Jeb, whose vet is delighted with his progress, and Lucky, who is doing well after a diagnosis of mammary cancer. All seem to enjoy a better quality of life, better appetite, energy, and play returns. We have been involved with many dogs over the years, and enjoy being able to provide some support and help in conjunction with the owners vets. Our motivation is knowing the helplessness and pain of having a serious diagnosis for our own companions in the past, and not knowing how we could help. We also are happy to help with research advice on nutrition and diet to help keep healthy dogs healthy, and support dogs in crisis.
